Trooper is one of the horses we rescued from a very neglent owner in late May. ~You can see the website with the story on it by clicking on the "Horse Abuse!" link on the left side of the screen~

Trooper is broke to ride and drive and is a gentle giant. He is in good condition for his age and although he still needs to gain a little weight he is ready now to find his forever home. The only holes we can find in this big guys prior training are the handling of his hind feet (he would prefer you left them alone) and he will not allow you to spray him with the fly spray prefering you to wipe him with it instead. Neither problem is a big issue and we believe he will work through both of them in time.

He is NOT ready for a retirement home and is more than happy to be ridden and have an active life still. Don't let his age fool you...Trooper has lots of life left in him.
